UseClip Alternatives: Clip UGC Alternatives for Brands

Hiring UGC creators yourself? Brief them here and your card is charged only after you approve the footage.
Clip (useclip.com) sells UGC video pay-as-you-go at $124 for 15 to 20 seconds, $159 for 20 to 40 seconds and $199 for 40 to 60 seconds, with creator payment, full licensing and one edit included, and $59 more for a premium creator. The main UseClip alternatives split by what you want to change: choose the creator yourself (a brief-and-invite marketplace such as UGCcreators), pay less per video (Billo from $99, Trend from about $69 inside a package), or hand off the creative (Twirl from $325, or an agency).
This page is for a brand that already knows what Clip costs and is deciding whether to keep ordering there. Every Clip number below was read off Clip's own pricing page and brand FAQ in September 2026. Where a competitor's number is reported rather than published by the vendor, it says so.
How much does UseClip cost?
Clip prices by video length, not by subscription. There is no monthly fee, no contract and no minimum spend, and the creator's payment is inside the price. Every order includes manually vetted creators, a fully licensed video, one edit per video and unlimited campaigns.
| Clip item | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| 15 to 20 second video | $124 | Creator fee, license, one edit |
| 20 to 40 second video | $159 | Same; Clip marks it as recommended |
| 40 to 60 second video | $199 | Same |
| Premium creator | +$59 per video | Creators Clip rates higher on past work and brand reviews |
| Captions / captions and music | $19 / $39 each | Add-on per video |
| Extra video format | $29 each | Another aspect ratio |
| Video variation | $60 each | Extra hook, CTA or alternate scene |
| Extra revision | $29 each | Beyond the one edit included |
| White Glove | Custom quote | Account manager, pre and post production, custom packages |
A realistic 30 second ad with captions and music and a second format comes to $159 + $39 + $29 = $227. Ten of those a month is $2,270, and $2,860 if you want premium creators on all ten.
Why brands look for a Clip alternative
Clip's price is fair for what it is. Brands leave for one of three reasons, and each one points to a different replacement.
- They want to pick the creator. On Clip, creators apply to your campaign and you approve from the applications; Clip's FAQ says most campaigns get 5 to 30+ applications in the first 48 hours. That works for a first round. Once you know which three faces convert, waiting for applications every round is friction.
- One edit is not enough. Clip includes one round of edits per video and sells more at $29 each. A brand with a legal or claims review often needs two passes.
- The per-length pricing adds up. Length tiers plus captions, formats and variations mean the headline $124 rarely matches the invoice.

UGCcreators: when you want to choose the creator
This is our product, so weigh it accordingly. The model is the reverse of Clip's: you write one brief, filter the catalog by niche, platform and rate, watch portfolio clips and invite the creators you want. Your card is authorized when you hire and captured only when you approve the cut. Plans are $49, $149 or $499 a month with a 10%, 7% or 5% fee on the creator's own rate, and reshoots are set by plan rather than sold per revision. The honest limits: our catalog is new and much smaller than Clip's, Starter allows three hires a month and Plus ten, and a creator who charges more than about $145 already costs more than Clip's $159 once the 10% Starter fee is added, before the plan fee. The UGC pricing page has the full fee math.
Billo: when the lowest floor matters
Billo's own blog states pricing starts at $99 per video, below Clip's $124, with bulk bonuses on larger packs. Billo moved its pricing page behind a business signup, and it does not publish revision counts or a usage-rights term anywhere public. The Billo pricing breakdown separates what Billo states first-hand from what reviewers report.
Trend.io: when you also need photos
Trend sells credit packages from $550, which Trend itself prints as $91.67 per video at the base creator tier and down to $69.14 on the largest package. It also sells product photos from the same credits, which Clip does not. Credits expire 12 months after purchase and creators apply to your project. The Trend.io comparison prices both creator tiers.
Twirl: when you want the edit done for you
Twirl is the premium option. Self-serve starts at $325 per video with a four video first purchase, but the price includes a clean and final edit with subtitles and music, two formats and two revision rounds. Its managed plans add $550 or $950 per concept. A brand that pays Clip for captions, music, formats and extra revisions on every video should price Twirl against that bundle, not against $124. Our Twirl alternative page runs the numbers at 4, 10 and 30 videos.
JoinBrands and Insense: when volume or managed matching matters
JoinBrands has a free plan with a 15% fee and UGC video floors from $25, which beats Clip on raw price for brands willing to screen a lot of applicants. Insense suits teams that also run Partnership Ads and want a guaranteed applicant count, at $1,500 a quarter on its Brand plan. The JoinBrands and Insense comparisons list what each one charges.
Which Clip alternative fits which brand
| If your main problem with Clip is | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting for applications every round | UGCcreators | You invite the creators you already know convert |
| Price per video | Billo, JoinBrands | Lower published floors, $99 and $25 |
| Add-ons on every order | Twirl | Edit, captions, music and two formats are in the base price |
| Needing photos too | Trend.io | Video and product photos from one credit balance |
| Nobody on your team writes briefs | Twirl managed plans or a UGC agency | Concepts are written for you |
Whichever you pick, judge it on the ads, not the files. Pull spend, hook rate and cost per purchase for each creator's cuts into one view, whether that is your ad manager export or a cross-channel marketing dashboard, and after two rounds you will know which creators to keep inviting.
How does Clip work for brands?
You post a campaign with your product and brief, creators apply, and you approve the ones that fit. For physical products you ship the product to each approved creator, and Clip says creators deliver within 3 to 7 days of receiving it. Each video includes one round of edits and full, unlimited usage rights with no extra licensing fee.
Does Clip include usage rights?
Yes. Clip's FAQ says brands receive full, unlimited usage rights for all content made through the platform, on any channel, with no additional licensing fees. That matches most of the alternatives above: Twirl, Trend and JoinBrands also include paid-ad rights, and UGCcreators grants a perpetual worldwide license on approval.
Does Clip offer refunds?
Clip states a 30 day refund policy from the date of purchase if creators do not meet expectations. UGCcreators works differently: the payment is only an authorization until you approve the video, so a delivery you reject is sent back as a reshoot request rather than refunded after the fact.
Is Clip cheaper than Billo?
At the floor, no. Billo states its pricing starts at $99 per video and Clip's shortest video is $124. For a 30 second ad the gap narrows once Billo's customization and niche creator pricing come in, which reviewers put at $150 to $250 per video. Compare a real order on both before assuming the headline price holds.
What to do next
If you are leaving Clip to get control over who films, start a brief and browse the creator catalog before you pay anything; browsing and briefing are free. If you are leaving for price, get a quote for your exact spec from Billo or JoinBrands first. Either way, keep the brief you already wrote for Clip. It is the most reusable asset you have.
