Creator guide
How to Become a UGC Creator and get your first paid brief
Becoming a UGC creator comes down to three things a brand can check: samples that show you can film a product, clear rates, and a profile it can hire from. Five steps, no follower count required.
Five steps from zero to a hireable UGC profile
-
01
Pick one or two niches you can film well
Brands search by niche: beauty, fashion, food and drink, fitness, apps, home, supplements or pets. Choose what you already use and can talk about naturally. A focused profile is easier to hire than one that claims everything.
-
02
Shoot two or three spec samples
Film short vertical videos with products you own, the way a brand would brief them: a hook in the first seconds, the product in use, a clear benefit. Good light and clean audio matter more than editing. These samples are what brands judge you on.
-
03
Decide your rates by type of content
Set a price for a short video up to 30 seconds, and if you offer them, a video up to 60 seconds, a set of five photos and raw footage. A rate per type tells a brand exactly what it buys and avoids haggling later.
-
04
Create your creator profile
Add your name, a one or two sentence description, niches, platforms, your country, your links and your samples. Confirm your email. Profiles with at least one sample are checked automatically and go live in the catalog.
-
05
Pitch open briefs and deliver
Read open briefs, pitch the ones that fit with your rate and sample links, and when you are hired, film to the brief and upload in your workspace. The brand approves, and your rate is paid from the money held for the order.
What brands look for before they hire a new creator
A strong first two seconds
A hook that stops the scroll: a question, a reaction or the product doing something visible.
The product in focus
Close shots, real use, readable labels. The viewer should know what is being sold.
Clean sound and light
Natural light and clear speech beat heavy editing. Brands often add their own captions.
Clear terms
A rate per content type and a realistic turnaround, so the brand knows what it is buying.
Not sure what to charge? How to set your UGC rates walks through each content type.
Questions about becoming a UGC creator
Do I need followers to become a UGC creator?
No. UGC is content a brand posts or runs as an ad on its own accounts, so what sells is the video, not your audience. The application here asks for samples and rates and treats social links as optional.
What equipment do I need?
A recent phone that films in good quality, natural light or a simple light, and a quiet room for clear audio. A tripod helps for steady shots. Brands care about a clear, natural video that shows the product well.
Can I become a UGC creator with no experience?
Yes. Spec videos with products you already own are accepted as samples. Your first orders and reviews then become the proof that wins larger briefs.
How old do I have to be?
You need to be 18 or older to create a creator profile and accept paid orders. The application asks you to confirm it.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Creator profiles are free. Brands pay for their plan and a marketplace fee added on top of your rate, so the rate you set is what you receive.
How long until my profile is live?
With a confirmed email and at least one sample, the automatic check usually takes seconds. If your profile has no sample yet, it waits, and we send you one reminder after a day.
Create your free creator profile
Add your links, at least one sample and your rates. Profiles with a sample and a confirmed email are checked automatically, and brands can hire you from the catalog or from your pitches.
