GRIN Pricing and GRIN UGC Cost for US Brands

Published October 7, 2026

Hiring UGC creators yourself? Brief them here and your card is charged only after you approve the footage.

GRIN pricing is published and month to month: Free at $0, Starter at $200, Growth at $500 and Scale at $1,000 a month, each with a monthly allowance of credits for its AI assistant. Every new account gets a 30-day trial of Starter, no card is needed for Free, and there is no annual contract. Creator pay sits on top of the plan. For a brand that only wants ten UGC videos a month for ads, the plan is the smaller number and the creators are the bigger one.

That is a big change. Until this year GRIN was quote-only, and reviewers reported contracts north of $2,000 a month billed annually. If you priced GRIN a year ago and walked away, the math is different now. This guide is for a US DTC or ecommerce marketer who has GRIN on the shortlist and needs creator video for Meta, TikTok or YouTube Shorts. It covers what each plan buys, what a credit pays for, what ten videos a month really cost, and when a UGC marketplace is the better fit. GRIN's numbers come from its own pricing page and FAQ.

How much does GRIN cost?

GRIN costs $0, $200, $500 or $1,000 a month depending on the plan, billed month to month with no contract and no seat fees. The plans differ by how many AI credits you get each month and a few features: multiple brands, multiple currencies and paid boosting start on Growth. All campaign types are included on every plan.

GRIN planPrice a monthCredits includedCost per bundled creditWhat it adds
Free$050n/a, no extra creditsCreator CRM, affiliate links and codes, GMV tracking
Starter$2002,000$0.100Gia's Desk automation, customizable dashboards
Growth$5007,500$0.067Multiple brands, multiple currencies, paid boosting
Scale$1,00020,000$0.050Same features, more credits for higher volume

Every plan includes an unlimited creator CRM with no per-contact billing, the full affiliate program (links, discount codes and GMV tracking) and free migration from a CSV, a competitor or GRIN Classic. GRIN says it is not priced per seat and needs no sales call. You can upgrade mid-cycle with prorated billing and downgrade when the program quiets down.

What does a GRIN credit pay for?

A GRIN credit meters the work its AI assistant, Gia, does for you: matching creators, chat messages, reporting, creator lookups, persona builds and automations. Viewing, filtering, setup, messages you write yourself, previews, affiliate link and code generation and migrations never use credits. Creating a commission payable for an affiliate conversion does use credits.

GRIN does not publish a per-task credit price, so you cannot convert "ten UGC videos" into a credit count before you start. Its own example shows a Growth account using 3,000 of its 7,500 monthly credits, with creator matching taking 43% and chat messages 34% of that. Two rules matter for budgeting. Included monthly credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over, while credits you buy on top do roll over. And the Free plan cannot buy extra credits at all, so once its 50 are gone the AI work stops until next month.

For a UGC buyer the practical reading is simple. If you write your own outreach and pick your own creators, you barely touch credits and Free goes a long way. If you want Gia to find and message creators for you, you are buying Starter or Growth.

What does GRIN UGC cost for ten videos a month?

Ten videos a month at $150 each is $1,500 of creator pay on any platform. On GRIN the platform adds $0 to $1,000 on top, depending on the plan. On a UGC marketplace it adds a percentage fee and sometimes a plan. Here is the overhead side by side, with the creator money left out because it is the same everywhere.

On paper GRIN Free wins at $0, and we would rather say that plainly. The catch is what is not in the price. GRIN's pricing page does not say how creators get paid or what that costs, and it does not mention content usage rights at all. GRIN is a creator management system: it organizes creators you recruit, ships product, tracks codes and sales. It does not hand you a pool of UGC creators who have agreed to a rate for a paid-ad video. If you already have 20 to 50 creators who love your product, that is exactly what you want. If you have none, the $0 plan gives you an empty CRM.

On our side the $254 a month buys one written brief that every creator films against, creators you invite by name with their own rate visible before you hire, reshoots set by plan rather than negotiated per creator, usage rights written into the brief before anyone films, and a card charged only after you approve the footage. Our catalog is smaller than the big networks, and we say so on every comparison page. The full plan table and fees are on our UGC creator pricing page.

Does GRIN have a free trial?

Yes. Every new GRIN account gets a free 30-day trial of the Starter plan, and the Free plan itself has no time limit and needs no card. After the trial you either pay $200 a month for Starter or drop back to Free. There is no annual contract to cancel, and if you cancel a paid plan it stays active until the end of the billing cycle.

Is GRIN worth it for UGC?

GRIN is worth it when UGC is one output of a wider creator program: gifted product, affiliate codes, commissions and repeat posting by the same creators, with sales tracked back to each one. Its own positioning is a creator CRM for brands that work with the same creators repeatedly. It is a weaker buy when the whole job is ordering 4 to 25 ad-ready videos a month from creators you have not met yet.

A fair test is to ask what share of your creator spend is flat-fee video versus revenue share. If most of it is commission on sales, GRIN's affiliate tooling and its no-seat, month-to-month pricing are hard to beat. If most of it is "$150 for a 30 second hook video we can run as an ad", you want a place where the creator, the deliverable, the rights and the payment are all set in one order.

GRIN reviews from brands

GRIN's Trustpilot profile is claimed and shows 3.2 from 31 reviews, and Trustpilot notes the company has not replied to its negative reviews. The most recent one-star review, from a large ecommerce retailer in January 2026, says the sales process was strong but that after the deal closed GRIN cut most of its staff and the product changed. A 2024 one-star review complains that GRIN reports discount-code use as ROI. Five-star reviews praise it for finding creators and managing a long-running program. That split matches the pricing change: the product and the price have both moved this year, so test it on the free trial with your real workflow before you build a program on it.

When GRIN is the right pick and when a UGC marketplace is

Pick GRIN if you run gifting and affiliate programs across dozens of creators, sell on Shopify or another store you can connect through its SDK or webhooks, and want sales attribution per creator. Starter at $200 a month with Gia doing outreach is a fair price for that, and you can leave any month.

Pick a UGC marketplace if you need finished ad videos on a schedule, want to compare deliveries against one spec, and need paid-ad rights settled before filming. If you are also shortlisting the enterprise suites that compete with GRIN, our Upfluence pricing breakdown prices a reported $14,406 year against the same ten-video month, and the Aspire UGC pricing page does the same for a reported $24,000 license. Both show the volume where their flat fee finally wins.

What to settle before you pay any creator

Whichever platform you use, four things decide whether the video is usable in an ad account, and none of them is on GRIN's pricing page:

  • Usage rights. Where the video can run (organic, paid social, whitelisted from the creator's handle), for how long, and whether you can edit it. Paid-ad rights often add 50% to 100% to a creator's rate, as our guide to UGC whitelisting cost shows.
  • Revisions. How many reshoots are included, and what counts as missing the brief.
  • Payment timing. Paid upfront, on delivery or on approval. Approval protects you.
  • The paper trail. Keep each creator's signed terms where your team can find them at renewal time. Brands running dozens of creators often store them in a contract management system so a usage window never lapses unnoticed while the ad is still live.

On our marketplace these sit in the brief and the order, so they are agreed before the creator films. If GRIN is your CRM for affiliates, you can still buy one-off ad videos from us and keep both. Price a month of creator video on the plans page, or write your first brief and see which creators fit before you pay anything.
