Billo is a legitimate UGC video platform that works best for brands buying a steady stream of short ad videos at a low entry price. Billo states on its own blog that pricing starts at $99 per video, sold as prepaid video packs with no mandatory subscription. On Trustpilot it holds a 4.0 out of 5 from 520 reviews: 74% five-star, 13% one-star. Brands praise how easy briefing is; the complaints are about prepaid credits that expired, pricing with no room for custom deals, and uneven creator quality.
This review is for a US brand deciding whether to fund a Billo balance this month. Prices come from Billo's own published blog posts, because the public pricing page now redirects to a business signup form. Ratings come from Trustpilot and are labeled as third-party. Where Billo is the cheaper or better choice, including against our own marketplace, we say so.

Is Billo legit?
Yes. Billo is an established creator video marketplace with 5,000+ vetted creators, per its homepage, and a 4.0 TrustScore across 520 Trustpilot reviews. Brands send a brief, pick from creators who apply or are matched, and receive edited vertical videos for TikTok, Meta, YouTube and Amazon. Billo also states a full refund if no creator match is found.
The 13% one-star share is higher than on some rivals. Collabstr, for comparison, sits at 4.5 with 5% one-star reviews. Read the one-star reviews before you buy and you will see two groups: creators unhappy about pay and dispute handling, and brands unhappy about credits and pricing. Billo replied to 75% of negative reviews, far above the 4% of negative reviews Insense answers.
How much does Billo cost?
Billo pricing starts at $99 per video, according to its own comparison posts, and brands buy video packs and order from the balance, with bulk order bonuses on larger campaigns. CreativeOps, the data add-on that writes scripts and matches creators on past performance, is an optional subscription priced separately. Revision counts, rights terms and delivery times are not published anywhere public.
Third-party reviewers report that real orders land at $150 to $250 per video once you choose a more experienced creator or add customization, and that revisions can add up to 20% of the original video cost. Treat those as reported, not first-party. Our Billo pricing breakdown separates what Billo states itself from what reviewers report, line by line.
What ten videos cost on Billo, all in
A single $99 video tells you little. Most brands testing paid social need eight to twelve new videos a month, so here is a ten-video month priced three ways. Our column uses a Plus plan at $149 a month with a 7% marketplace fee, and assumes the creators you pick charge the same rate as the Billo column.
| Scenario | Billo, 10 videos | UGCcreators Plus, 10 videos | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published floor, $99 a video | $990 | $990 + $69.30 fee + $149 plan = $1,208 | Billo by $218 |
| Reported typical, $150 a video | $1,500 | $1,500 + $105 + $149 = $1,754 | Billo by $254 |
| Reported typical plus one paid revision on half the videos (20%) | $1,650 | $1,754, three reshoots included in the plan | Billo by $104 |
| Reported top end, $250 a video, revisions on half | $2,750 | $2,500 + $175 + $149 = $2,824 | Billo by $74 |
On straight price, Billo wins every row. That is the honest result, and it is why Billo is a good pick for a brand whose only question is cost per video. The gap narrows once revisions enter the picture, because our plan includes three reshoots a month on Plus and unlimited on Pro, while revisions on Billo are reported as a paid extra. Billo stays cheaper on price alone; what a monthly plan buys instead is choosing creators by name, reshoots on the plan and payment held until you approve.
Is Billo worth it?
Billo is worth it for a brand that wants low-cost volume, is happy to let Billo's matching surface creators, and orders often enough to use its prepaid balance before it expires. It is weaker for a brand that wants to pick a fixed roster by name, needs written usage-rights terms before filming, or buys irregularly and risks losing unused credits.
Three things tip the decision, in our reading of the reviews:
- How often you order. Prepaid packs reward steady monthly buying. A Trustpilot reviewer who liked the platform still complained that credits they had paid for expired.
- How specific your creative is. Briefs with many scenes squeezed into a 30-second video generate most of the disputes, from both sides. If your brief is tight, Billo's process runs well; if it is ambitious, budget for longer lengths.
- Whether you need custom deals. One brand reviewer liked the creator network but objected that Billo "doesn't allow for custom deals" and estimated a large markup over what creators receive. If you plan to rehire the same creators at volume, that markup is the cost of staying on the platform.
Do Billo credits expire?
Yes, according to Billo customers. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote in 2026 that credits they had paid for expired, and Billo's reply offered to look into the account rather than disputing the policy. Billo does not publish the expiry window on any public page, so ask for it in writing before you buy a large pack.
What reviewers praise and what they flag
| Theme | What brand reviewers say | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Ease of use | Building a campaign is simple; chat and campaign management keep creator work in one place | Low setup cost; a first campaign can go out the same day |
| Account support | Account managers help brands find and rebook strong creators | Value rises the more you spend, since managed help follows volume |
| Creator quality | Mostly positive, with one 2026 review saying quality has slipped and a poor creator rating was removed | Plan on testing several creators before you find a keeper |
| Pricing | Complaints about markup, no custom deals and a thin paid editing service | Cheap at entry, less flexible at scale |
| Credits | Paid credits expiring before use | Buy packs sized to what you will order, not to the bulk bonus |
Before you commit a quarter of creative budget to any one vendor, it is worth checking what your rivals are running and how often they rotate creator ads; a competitor monitoring tool that tracks their live ads tells you how many new videos a month you actually need, which is the number that decides whether a prepaid pack or a monthly plan fits.
How long does Billo take to deliver videos?
Billo does not publish a delivery time. Its own comparison post says campaigns can launch in hours, and review sites describe ready-to-use content arriving within a few days of creator selection. Shipping the product to the creator usually adds the most time, so allow one to two weeks for a first batch of physical-product videos.
What are the best Billo alternatives?
The right alternative depends on what bothers you about Billo. If it is prepaid credits, look at per-order platforms with no balance to expire. If it is not choosing your creators, look at marketplaces where you invite creators by name. The main options, with prices each vendor publishes:
- Collabstr: free plan with a 10% hiring fee, campaigns from $249 a month billed annually. See our Collabstr review and pricing page.
- Trend: prepaid credit packages from $550 that expire after 12 months, from about $69 to $92 per video. Compared on the Trend alternative page.
- JoinBrands: $0 to $499 a month plus an 8% to 15% platform fee, videos from $25.
- UGCcreators: plans at $49, $149 and $499 a month with a 10%, 7% or 5% fee, one brief sent to creators you invite by name, reshoots set by plan and payment captured only after you approve. The full plan table is on the UGC pricing page.
If Billo is already on your shortlist and the question is whether to stay, the Billo alternative comparison covers creator choice, rights and escrow feature by feature.
The verdict for brands
Buy Billo if cost per video is the deciding number and you will order every month. It is cheaper than a monthly marketplace plan at every volume we priced, and reviewers consistently call it easy to run. Look elsewhere if you want to hire the same named creators repeatedly on your own terms, need revision and rights terms settled in writing before anyone films, or buy in bursts that could leave paid credits to expire.
If that second description fits, create an account and write one brief: every creator's own rate is visible in the creator catalog before you invite anyone, and your card is charged only after you approve the video.
